Willesden is an area in North West London which forms part of the London Borough of Brent. It is situated 5 miles (8 km) north west of Charing Cross. To the north of Willesden Green is Dollis Hill, Kensal Rise is to the west and Cricklewood to the east. Willesden High Rd consists of a large Sainsburys; small cafe and restaurants serving varied world cuisine; smaller shops and Willesden Library.

Willesden Green is a public transport hub with its own bus station. Bus routes include; the No 6 to Aldwych via Kensal Rise and Oxford Circus; No 52 to Victoria via High Street Kensington, the 452 to Wandworth via Notting Hill Gate and Knightsbridge; No 08 via Kilburn Marble Arch and Tottenham Court Road to Holborn. There are also the 206, 226, 360, 297, 302 and 460 servicing the areas of: Neasden, Harlesden, Cricklewood, Brent Cross, Queensbury, Kingsbury, Golders Green, Mill Hill, Alperton, Perivale, Park Royal Burnt Oak, Finchley, Shepherds Bush, Hammersmith and Ealing.

By road, Willesden is connected to many places as the A41 road/A5 road runs close by in nearby Kilburn / Cricklewood. The North Circular Road, the inner orbital road of London, is nearby running through Neasden.

Willesden Green has its own zone 2 station on the Jubilee line it is actually the last station within zone 2 on this line. Willesden Green is one of the few stations on the southern section of the former Metropolitan Mainline to still have its original platform buildings intact. The station opened on 24 November 1879 on the Metropolitan Railway (later the Metropolitan Line). From 20 November 1939 it also served the Stanmore branch of the Bakerloo Line, with Met services being withdrawn the following year. It transferred to the Jubilee Line in 1979.

The station still has platforms on the Metropolitan line, but these are not in regular use and are usually closed to passengers. The main station buildings, which date from the reconstruction of 1925, are fine examples of the work of C W Clark, the Metropolitan Railway architect, who used this style of marble white faience for several central area stations. The ticket hall interior, which retains much of the original green tesserae mosaic tiling, is a rare survival and was one of the reasons that led to the station being made a Grade 2 Listed Building in December 2006.

Willesden Green has three gyms within the area. The newly opened Willesden Sports Centre has an outdoor stadium style running track as well as a full length pool and gym. Gladestone Park is the main green space within the area. In the summer there are organised touch rugby competitions as well as many other sports such as hockey and football. The park also has tennis courts
