Exactly one month ago to the day, I sat at this desk for the first time as the newest member of Paramount’ s Lettings department. Despite over 8 years of experience in the industry and various other jobs, you never lose those first-day nerves, eager to impress and quickly rid yourself of the “new boy” nickname.
Luckily for me, the entire office bent over backwards to make me feel welcome and within a few hours, it had felt like I was already part of the furniture.
In the first couple of weeks, I got a real flavour of the “give-back” spirit at paramount when I was asked whether I would prefer a massage or reflexology session! Unbeknown to me, this is a monthly perk that the management roll-out for the entire office and is a real treat! I love the fact Paramount give back to their staff and make every member of the team feel worthwhile. Something that’s missing from a lot of companies I’ve worked for in the past!
Now that I’ve been here for a month, I’m truly settled. I’ve been involved with all aspects of lettings team, from valuing and prospecting new business to championing our client feedback structure and even conducting team meetings, as well as my day to day of viewings and finding tenants their perfect homes. In my first month, I’ve helped 15 new tenants move into their new homes and the satisfaction that gives me will never get old! There really is nothing like it, and the positive messages I receive from landlords and tenants alike always motivate me to keep up the levels of service Paramount prides itself on.
