This year's food drive may be more critical to our food banks than ever before as we start to feel the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. With furlough ending in October and the potential for new lockdown restrictions on the horizon, more people will be faced with food insecurity. Our neighbours will need our help.
Unfortunately this year we won't be able to host our much anticipated family-and-friends pub quiz to raise funds, but we're not giving up on the idea. We're taking it online to host "Quizzing for Camden foodbank"!
- TINNED MEAT (MEAT IN SAUCE, FRAY BENTOS, ETC)
- TINNED FRUIT
- TINNED VEGETABLES
- MILK UTH
- TINS OF FISH (TUNA, SARDINES)
- SHAMPOO and SHOWER GEL
- WASHING POWDER
- TOILET ROLL
- NON CAFFIENE TEAS
- GLUTEN FREE FOOD (PASTA, CEREAL, NOODLES)
We're asking you to help us support Camden foodbank either by donating directly on their website here or by dropping off nonperishable food items. Even though our office is closed to the public, we're still acting as a food donation collection point to make it as easy as possible for our community to donate.
Just bring anything you'd like to donate to our office at 150 West End Lane, knock on our door, and we'll come out to collect your items and sanitise them. We'll be making regular deliveries to Camden foodbank.
Last week Harriet in Team Support decided to pick up a few extra donations for Camden foodbank while she was in the shop.
"I did it because it's important to do bits when you can for charity and donating to a food bank is such an easy way to help out. Especially given the current climate and winter incoming etc."
