The most romantic locations you won't believe are in London!

London isn’t always the first place that comes to mind when you think of 'Romance' – Paris and Venice are tough acts to follow! However, we’ve found that even in London, if you look for it, we’ve got a sneaky suspicion love actually is all around... (see what we did there?)

So if you’re looking for a romantic spot this Valentine’s Day that won’t break the bank, look no further. We’ve found the top spots in North London that we are sure will have you feeling the love.

1. Hill Garden & Pergola, Hampstead Heath

If the Montagues and Capulets lived in North West London we’re 99% sure that this would be Romeo and Juliet’s secret spot. With overgrown wisteria wrapped around pillars, a hidden tranquil pond and flowers of every color blooming from every direction, Hampstead Pergola is nothing short of a real-life fairytale.

To be or not to be in Hampstead this Valentine’s day… that is the question.

2. Little Venice Canal

Yes, you guessed it... London has its own Venice! Well… not really, you won’t find any gondolas or Basilicas… instead you’ll find narrow boats and stucco fronted Edwardian homes, which in a way is just as magnificent (in a classic British way)!

If you’re looking for a peaceful location sat on a blanket next to the water watching the boats go by, this is the spot for you; and if you’re lucky you might spot one of London’s most famous couples Rosie & Jim chugging along on the old Ragdoll… we’ll keep our fingers crossed for you!

3. The Secret Garden, Regents Park

That’s right, we’re letting you in on one of London’s best kept secrets, and it will not disappoint. Hidden away in London’s famous Regent’s Park, found at the end of a wisteria-clad tunnel is a truly magical garden with a stunning fountain at the centre.

Surrounding the garden are tall scalloped hedges cutting you off from the outside world and creating a real sense of intimacy – a rare treat in busy London! Seriously guys, we’ve let the secret out now, don’t walk… run.

4. The Boating Lake, Alexandra Palace

Boating Lake and Pedalo Boats, name a more romantic duo? There is just something about you and your other half enjoying a secluded float around a lake, and what better place to do it then Alexandra Palace? It has always been one of the top places to visit for couples, from ice skating in winter to spectacular fireworks displays in Autumn, Alexandra Palace consistently provides amazing experiences for you to create your very own #CoupleGoals moment.

Get down to Ally Pally now, book a boat and peddle your way to your partners heart… aww!

Grab yourself a blanket, warm coat and a hot chocolate and get you and your partner up to Primrose Hill for an unforgettable romantic sunset view. You won’t regret it.
