The Role

As a Lettings Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Above all, delivering first-class customer service to our landlords and tenants
  • Registering applicants
  • Conducting property viewings
  • Negotiating offers between landlords and prospective tenants
  • Facilitating the transition of prospective tenants to the compliance team for referencing
  • Coordinating flat preparation prior to scheduled move-ins
  • Prompt, professional, and proactive communication with all clients
  • Detailed record-keeping with our CRM software
The Candidate
Essential:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Full, clean driving licence
Desirable:
  • Good knowledge of the lettings process and current industry laws and regulations
  • Willingness to participate in further professional training
  • Self-motivated and ambitious

A bit about the role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day financial transactions involved in the tenancy journey, from collecting rents and paying our landlords, to producing monthly landlord income and expenditure reports. You will also be responsible for our small portfolio of service charge accounts.

Skills required

Essential:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • The ability to summarise technical information in a clear and understandable way to those from a non-financial background.
  • Organised and able to work within strict deadlines.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • At least three years previous experience within the property industry.
  • Ability to work in a changing and flexible organisation.
  • A minimum of two years working in a similar accounts-based role.
  • Lives within a 45-minute commute of West Hampstead.

Desirable:

  • Ideally the candidate will have passed their ARLA exams. If this is not the case, ARLA training will be given.
  • Familiarity with RPS and Xero software.

  • Full clean driving licence
