Calling all winter jumpers, scarves, and mittens!

The coming winter is predicted to be colder than usual, and people living on the streets will struggle more to keep warm and dry.

To try to help prepare people for these challenges, until the 9th of November we're collecting warm winter clothing and necessities as part of the charity Only A Pavement Away's Winter Warmth campaign.

All donations will be distributed on the 10th of November, along with a backpack and a hot drink, to people who are currently living on the streets.

ITEMS WE'RE COLLECTING

Coats
Winter jumpers
Scarves
Gloves
Warm trousers
Sleeping bags
New socks
Toiletries like small deodorants and shower gels

If you have any winter clothing or items you're no longer using, or would like to pick up an item or two to donate, please bring them by our office. We'll be collecting during business hours for the next couple of weeks.

We would also love it if you could help spread the word! Share this page with anyone you know who might have some extra winter clothing to donate.

You can find out more about Only A Pavement Away here. They've recently created a Life Skills Hub programme that "provides introductory skills training to people who have been homeless and are ready to be rehoused and re-employed, and how to live independently whilst developing their employability skills."

They’re currently crowdfunding to give 250 people this opportunity, and you can find more information about that here.
