A Visit to St Mary Magdalen's Junior School in Willesden

For those of you who may not be aware, Paramount is officially part of the Ethical Agent Network, a community of agents committing to a set of values and principles that can often be overlooked in our industry. You can find out more about the promises we've committed to in the ethical agency network here.

A core part of the Ethical Agency Network is giving back, and so they promise to commit at least £500 to community groups and good causes every month; not only that, but they work hard behind the scenes and partner with various charity campaigns.

Which brings us to the tablet donation; because Spencer sits on the advisory board, we were kindly gifted an Amazon tablet to donate to a school of our choice. This gave me a really special opportunity to give back to a place that gave so much to me.

I had the pleasure of donating the tablet to St Mary Magdalens - my old primary school! It was wonderful to walk around and see my old stomping ground. I even had the pleasure of saying hi to a few of my old teachers, and then Adam and I headed into their afternoon assembly.

St Mary Magdalens are currently on a mission to create a carbon-neutral school, and the student council have been working hard to create a plan and spread awareness on how they will achieve this. The school decided to use the tablet as a fundraising prize; all funds raised would be given to the school council so that they could fund various eco projects across the school year.

Looking after our planet is something we stand behind here at Paramount, so it was reassuringly inspiring to watch the next generations of eco champions appear. I felt overwhelmingly proud that St Mary Magdalens are still as committed to making the world a better place just as much as they did when I was there.

It was a great to give back to a school that gave me so much; St Mary Mag's was big on pushing creativity, a culture that probably contributed to me now working in marketing and loving every minute of it.

A really special moment to end 2023 with.
