Hampstead is one of London's most charming and picturesque neighborhoods. Nestled in the heart of North London, Hampstead is known for its village-like atmosphere, beautiful green spaces, and rich cultural history. Whether you're exploring the famous Hampstead Heath, visiting one of the many iconic pubs, or enjoying a cozy café, there's something for everyone in this delightful part of the city.

Why did you choose to live in Hampstead?
Hampstead has the perfect mix of leafy green space, gorgeous old neighbourhoods, great shops/restaurants/cafes, and you can still be in central London in 20 minutes. Hampstead Heath is (in my opinion) the best park in London - perfect for a run, a relaxing stroll, or an afternoon picnic at Kenwood House. It also has the swimming ponds which are great for cooling down in the summer. As an area it feels very safe and has loads of charm and history.

What kind of vibe does Hampstead have?
Hampstead is very green and has quaint village charm. The little cobblestone roads, beautiful old houses, and lovely pubs and cafes all add to its character. It has a real community spirit and feels very safe. It also has a strong artistic and cultural element, with galleries, walking tours, and blue plaques dotted about.

Where is your favourite place to grab a morning coffee?
Ginger & White is a great little cafe with delicious coffee and pastries. They're located in a cute little alleyway off the main road, and they have an easy take-away window across from their cafe.

What are your favourite places to go for dinner in Hampstead?
The pub fare in Hampstead is top tier - you can't go wrong with a Sunday roast at The Holly Bush or the Spaniards Inn after a stroll in the Heath. Dim T is also fantastic for dim sum. I haven't tried Ottolenghi's restaurant on Hampstead High Street yet but that's on the list!

How would you spend a Saturday in Hampstead?
I start my Saturdays with a morning run in the Heath, sometimes stopping at Kenwood House to enjoy the extensive gardens or the view across the estate. Then I pick up a loaf of sourdough at Gails to make breakfast, or my partner and I will go to Mani's for a delicious brunch (you have to go early because there's always a queue on the weekend!). You could then wander the shops around the High Street. There are book shops, nice kitchenware stores, clothing stores - lots of variety. Or you could head up to the Hill Garden and Pergola near Golders Hill Park. I'd finish the day with a hearty dinner at the Spaniards Inn and maybe a nice glass of wine at The Wells Tavern.

What would you say Hampstead's hidden gem is?
Honestly - it has so many! The Hampstead Creperie is a little french crepe stall that has a queue morning, noon and night, all throughout the year. That's a must-try. There a cute little cafe in the gardens of Burgh House, tucked away amongst the streets around the Heath. And I will never stop talking about how amazing the Hill Garden & Pergola is. It's Georgian 2-story terrace and gardens that used to be part of the private estate behind it, tucked away next to Hampstead Heath. The only drawback is having to dodge people taking their wedding photos!
