Why did you choose to live in Islington?
It’s residential, yet busy - the high street on Upper Street is full of cute shops, cafes and bars. And the residential streets are really lovely! Nice and leafy and super close to everywhere central.

What are your favourite restaurants in the area?
Le Mercury is a Bistro-style French restaurant, top-choice for pre-theatre dinner. It has affordable 2-course or 3-course menus and a good range of starters and mains. The Moules Mariniere and Duck Breast are my favs! Nem Nem is an innovative Vietnamese tapas restaurant. Wonderful combination of French cooking style and Southeast Asian ingredients and flavourings. Great range of vegan dishes alongside meat dishes. Kod is an extremely affordable vegetarian restaurant (also have meat options). Inventive and healthy pastas, burgers and salads around £10.

How would you spend a Saturday Islington?
I would start my day by taking a stroll alongside Regent's Canal and watch colourful boats. Then I'd have brunch with friends at Camden Passage, and hang around for some vintage shopping. Afterwards, I might walk to Islington Square Saturday Market, and then watch a matinee show at the Almeida or King's Head. Or I might buy a book from Waterstones and sit within Islington Green to read.
