What kind of vibe does Mapesbury have?

Mapesbury is residential with lots of big pretty houses, a lot of which have gardens etc. This is a quiet area as it’s far enough from the high street that it’s quiet but also only a 5 minute walk to get your essentials from the shops. There are lots of young people and young families living in the area.

Wingmans on Kilburn High Road has the best wings with loads of different flavours to choose from! The North London Tavern is a lovely pub also on Kilburn High Road that has great food and is also good for watching the football with some drinks! Mapesbury is just a 15 minute walk to West Hampstead which has Colaba - an amazing Indian restaurant who also deliver when you’re feeling lazy and do the best curry around in my opinion!

How would you spend your Saturday as a local?

Mapesbury is very close to Gladstone Park who host a parkrun on Saturday morning at 9am so I will walk there (about 20 mins) and do the 5k route around the park which is stunning! I’ll then head back to Mapesbury going a bit out of my way to get a well earned pastry from Opa! If it’s a nice day, I will take a book to read at Kilburn Grange Park and watch the world go by. The evening would involve a trip to the North London Tavern for a few drinks with friends.
