Queen's Park
A local's guide
Queen's Park is one of London’s most vibrant and sought-after neighborhoods, where community spirit meets urban chic. Known for its beautiful Victorian homes, trendy cafes, and the expansive green space of Queen's Park itself, this area offers the perfect blend of city living and a relaxed, village-like atmosphere.

It's very residential and feels very family-friendly and safe. There are lots of shops which make it very convenient and some lovely parks nearby to enjoy some outdoor space. The farmers market every Sunday is wonderful and there's always a great place to meet friends nearby.

Where's your favourite place to grab a morning coffee?
Dark and Light! Easily the most delicious coffee with beans from a family run farm that the owner has a close relationship with. They’re welcoming of dogs and those that want to sit and work. I recommend their mochas (made with chocolate chips!) and a ham and cheese croissant

I love grabbing a coffee in the morning from Milk Beach which has a great outdoor patio where you can sit with your dog and enjoy the sunshine.

What are your favourite restaurants to go to in Queens Park?
Carmel (My fav restaurant in London - get the counter table overlooking the kitchen), Machinko suhsi is delicious and the staff are so lovely, and then Lula has just opened and it is fantastic

For a takeaway dinner - Three Crowns Pizzeria. The owner is half Swedish, half Italian and makes the most amazing traditional stone oven pizzas. Bills for a varied menu that has something for everyone. Queens Indian for the most delicious curries.

How would you spend your Saturday in Queens Park as a local?
On a saturday I often head over to the park to play some tennis in the morning, then head over to Dark and Light for coffee, swing by Queens Park books and a quick drink at the Alice House.

I prefer Sundays in Queens Park. Going to the farmer markets to buy fresh products, flowers and meet neighbours. The Pilates studio on Lonsdale Road is also a good spot for a quick Sunday’s workout.

Queen's park itself is perfect to sit outside. Bring along a picnic blanket and enjoy the sun. Queens park is also well connected on the overground to Hampstead Heath if a longer walk is more what you are looking for!

What would you say Queens Park's hidden gem is?
Lonsdale road is hidden off the main street. It is awesome for after work drinks and dinner especially in the summer. Carmel (won't stop mentioning it) get the Lamb shank it falls off the bone

Three Crowns Pizzeria! Nestled next to a local corner shop it doesn’t look like much but it’s honestly the best pizza I’ve had in London. My go to order is a diavolo! They also do fantastic chicken strips and mozarella dippers.

Is there anything else you'd like to give a special mention to?
Nearly everywhere in Queens Park is dog friendly! So far we’ve been able to take our dog in every store/location except from sainsburys and the coop due to corporate policies. It makes life so much easier to keep your furry family member happy.
