Why did you choose to live in West Hampstead?
The location is unbeatable. Close to all major public transportation. The abundance of local shops, cafes and choice of restaurants makes this place lively. Three parks within walking distance for kids to enjoy. Great schools, too.

What kind of vibe does West Hampstead have?
West Hampstead has a village feeling even though it's so close to the central, which we love. It has just the right mix of restaurants and shops to give it a lively vibe, but it was never too busy or overwhelming. It strikes the perfect balance, making it a great place to live.

How well-connected is West Hampstead?
It’s extremely well-connected, with the Tube (to go North-South), Overground (to go East-West), and Thameslink to reach the main stations (King's Cross) and airports (Luton and Gatwick). I am changing houses, but I am staying in the area for all these reasons.

Where's your favourite place to grab a morning coffee?
The Tree of Life is a little independent coffee shop in West Hampstead run by the loveliest little lady ever, she’s super kind. There are lots of vegan goodies and yummy smoothies and coffees.

What are your top restaurants in the area?
The Cedar is a great Lebanese restaurant; Buns does a great burger in the evening; Meze has great Greek food; and Wet Fish Cafe is good for 'finer' food. The Wells Tavern is a bit further away but still close. It is one of my favourite pubs to eat at, and they do an AMAZING roast.
Peter, Hemstal Road
How would you spend a Saturday in West Hampstead as a local?
I would go to the House of Books. I love browsing the shelves there. I've had a lovely Saturday morning, getting a quiche from Gail’s and a coffee from Cafe Nero, then sitting in West End Green and reading [my] book from the House of Books while having breakfast.

What would you say West Hampstead's hidden gem is?
The wholemeal sourdough bread from Roni's Bakery - it’s to die for! It's got that perfect crust and a flavorful, chewy interior. If you're in the area, you've got to check it out; it's a game-changer.

Is there anything else you’d like to give a special mention to?
Tannin And Oak wine bar is gorgeous — super friendly, lovely wine, a touch of class, and just something a little different from a pub. Plus, Bobby's is magic—great atmosphere, lovely staff, and good food to enjoy with cocktails.
