As a school mum working in West Hampstead, I am always on the lookout for places to visit over the Summer Holidays.
There are always the usual hangouts which the children always love – the local playgrounds, splash parks, soft play and trampoline centres but for something slightly different, I wanted to share with you what I have found which are close to the West Hampstead area.
The Beach at Brent Cross
With the weather currently hitting 30+ degrees, what better time to visit a beach?
This event ran last year and was a huge success. They have already confirmed that there are new rides, more sand and lots more water fun so its definitely a great place to check out.

London Zoo
With one of the biggest collections of animals in the UK, London Zoo is always a popular place to visit with the children, and between now and the 2nd September when they are holding their “Superheroes and Villains Event”
The children will be able to enrol with the ZSL London Zoo Superhero Academy, learn amazing powers and use them to help unravel the environmental super-villains’ dastardly plans.
Fenton House and Garden, NW3 6SP
For the more creative and artistic children, Fenton House and Garden are holding artful activities from now until the 2nd September between 11am – 4,.30pm. The art activities will be on the lawn in Fenton's magical and relaxing walled garden, or in their pop-up art studio.
