How the Mill Lane Bridge got it's colour back

In 2020 one of the main entry points into West Hampstead, the Mill Lane Bridge, was covered in rust and graffiti. It gave a really sad welcome into our vibrant, friendly community - far from doing it justice.

Of course, it hadn't always been this way. Back in 2000 the bridge had been covered in colourful murals painted by children from the local schools. This had been done in a community project led by resident artist Charlotte Gerrard.

So 20 years after the original project, West Hampstead locals Jill and Natasha approached us at Paramount to see if we'd like to support the project.

See the story, original photos and the transformation here!
