For just £3, you can help Paramount Properties make a meaningful difference.
This Easter, charity and community remain a core part of our values here at Paramount Properties. We’re delighted to launch Operation Easter Basket, and we invite you to help us spread joy this spring holiday season.
Once again, our fundraising efforts will be in support of the West Hampstead Community Food Hub, our local food bank. This is a charity we have worked with closely before, and it’s always been so rewarding to see the impact they have on local families. As a volunteer-run charity, they’re always doing incredible work, providing essential food and supplies for those who need it in our West Hampstead community.
Spencer Lawrence, Lettings and Sales Director at Paramount Properties, said: “When we first partnered with the West Hampstead Community Food Hub during our Stocking Stop campaign last December, they were servicing around 180 families. That number has now almost tripled to 600 families.
“Times are tough, families are struggling, and with the new demand, our local food bank needs our support now more than ever. That’s 600 households in our area facing food insecurity, and as local estate agents, we feel a strong responsibility to support our community.”
That’s where Operation Easter Basket comes in! Our goal is to put together 100 Easter baskets, packed with treats and activities for families to enjoy. Easter is a time for fun and relaxation, and we want to give these families the chance to take a break, share some quality time, and celebrate the season. This can all be possible with your help.
What Will the Baskets Include?
Inside the baskets, we’ve carefully selected a mix of treats and activities, ways for families to enjoy time together. Of course, every basket will have a chocolate Easter egg, an essential holiday treat - because what’s Easter without one? We’ve also included other fun goodies you can help provide, including a pack of duckling marshmallows, an Easter lollipop, and a jelly bean carrot.
To keep families entertained this Easter, the baskets will also include a "Grow Your Own Sunflower" kit and a nature trail for a scavenger hunt in north London’s community-focused Queen’s Park.
Why Is Operation Easter Basket So Important?
Life in the big city can be tough financially, especially for those supporting families and young children. The impacts of the cost-of-living crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic have left a mark on many people and their finances. As asset managers, we understand the financial pressures many families face, especially when it comes to securing stable housing and making ends meet. That’s why we’re proud to support our community by fundraising for a local food bank, helping families in need to put food on the table during these challenging times.
Pranay Hariharan, co-founder of West Hampstead Community Food Hub, said: “In the world we’re living in today, it’s more important than ever for communities to come together and support those in need, especially when that person in need could be your neighbour or someone you walk past every morning.
“There’s something really powerful about not relying solely on government support but instead creating a community where everyone does their bit.”
How Can You Get Involved?
Each basket costs £6 to produce, and Paramount is inviting the public to donate £3, with the company matching each contribution to cover the full cost. Together, we can make sure families in need receive some much-needed cheer.
Our goal is to raise enough for 100 baskets, but there’s always the potential to go beyond that and make an even bigger impact for those in need.
