We have enjoyed engaging with various charities from local to international for many years, it’s wonderful to help a diverse range of worthy causes whilst galvanising the team.
Paramount Collective provides an opportunity for team members to select a charity that is close to their heart, whilst the rest of the team support their chosen fundraising programme. Our 2019 events have already been mapped out, a few of the endurance related activities will need considered and carefully planned training schedules post the inevitable excess of the Christmas period.
A few years ago I was lucky enough to be asked to be a Regional Director for the estate agency charity Agents Giving, this converted our involvement with charities from an interest into a passion.
Paramount Collective was born. At the engine room of the charity is an incredibly dedicated team, Yvonne Martin & Vikki Girton, whose tireless efforts have made the charity what it is today and are planning an exciting path for the future.
All good things come to an end as Peter Knight announced, at the fabulous Agents Giving Ball, that he was stepping down as chairman of the charity. I’m extremely grateful to Peter, as he gave me an opportunity to sit on the board of Agents Giving. which I grabbed with both hands. We move forward in 2019 under the watchful eye of Michael Stoop along with new and exciting additional board members.
We were humbled to receive the "Outstanding Contribution to Charity Award" at the latest Agents Giving Ball, a magnificent way to end the year and a huge plaudit for the team both past and present. Peter outlined in part why we won the award.
‘The whole team is a driving force in supporting their local food bank, using their office as a collection point for donations and have organised countless events of all descriptions to raise much-needed funds, supplies and donations for The Brent Food bank’.
Our work with Brent Foodbank has been very rewarding and one we will vigorously continue in the future.
The range of fundraising ideas has been astonishing, the collaboration and willingness to get involved on all levels is something that makes me incredibly proud. What we have learned is giving ones time is often the greatest gift of all.
